Nigel Wilson, Director of Financial Eye, will be speaking about “CyberCrime – The Outlook for 2017”. The landscape of CyberCrime is constantly changing as the perpetrators develop new methodologies. It is imperative that you stay up to date with these emerging threats. Nigel will present our view of the CyberCrime Outlook for 2017. This will include the potential impact on your Insurance coverage considering recent modifications to the Insurance Act as well as running through a range of measures that firms can put in place to stay ahead of these threats.
Paul Saunders, Managing Director of Legal Eye, will be delivering a speech entitled “Keep your law firm one step ahead of Risk in 2017”. The SRA are experiencing an increase in reports concerning AML compliance and are investigating several substantial cases. Fraudsters are inventing new ways to attack law firms and their clients. Managing risk does not need to be costly and having the right processes is key. Paul will talk through practical advice on making yourself a harder target and staying one step ahead of the risks prevalent in 2017.
